Brien Holden Vision institute – Platinum Sponsor of Rotary Golf Day

Sydney, Australia, 19 May 2017: The 42nd Annual Leo Sullivan Charity Fun Golf Day was a great success with 74 golfers participating and over $17K raised for the Liverpool Rotary Club.

David Pace, the Club Service Director from Liverpool Rotary Club, which organises the annual event, said the event honoured Leo Sullivan, the former club president, who was also heavily involved in the golfing community.

“Leo was a Liverpool resident and business owner. He successfully ran the Tree Valley golf course for over 40 years, eventually passing the business onto his son Mike upon his death.

Both Leo and Mike have been presidents of the Liverpool Rotary Club and it’s been my honour to run the golf day for the past seven years.

The aim of the day is to raise funds to use both locally and abroad for projects that the club feels need our support. The money raised this year is going towards the purchase of a small commuter bus for the ShareCare organisation.”

The Brien Holden Vision Institute and optometry profession were well represented by current employees Barry Brown and Shane Parker, and close friends of the Brien Holden Vision Institute, Lynne Walsh, Gopalan Nair, Barry McNamara, Tim McKinnon and Norm McDonald.
